Lacking motivation right now? Try this…

I’ve got a super technique to share with you today if you’re feeling the struggle to stay motivated.

It can be tough when you’re trying to make a change or a difference in your life and things feel like they’re taking forever to happen.  It can feel that the goal or dream that you’re working towards will take a lifetime to come to life.  It can leave you frustrated and in some cases just wanting to give up on the whole idea.  I’ve been there.

Before we can go any further I want to let you know that it is ok to feel like this.  You can’t be motivated all of the time.  If you were motivated 24 hours, 7 days a week you would be exhausted!  So give yourself a break, allow yourself to have that moment of frustration but then follow this technique to help you get pumped, focused and ready to get back on track.

This is a great technique to help you take stock, get present in the moment and think about how you can move forward.

Big goals or life changes do take time, they don’t happen overnight.  The most important thing that you’re doing is taking action, little steps are huge accomplishments.  You’re making progress towards your end goal.

So, are you ready?  Let’s go…

  • First, I want you to reconnect with the place where you feel really good.  Inspiration comes from detaching from the overwhelm or things that are swirling around in your head.  Allow yourself to be in the moment and do something that lifts your spirits.  Ask yourself how can you reconnect with you?  Where is the place you can go to, where you can just really be at one with you?
  • Take time to dream – grab a journal or notebook.  Sit and dream.  Think about what you want to come from this goal?  Ask yourself what is it that you’re working towards?  Get back in touch with your reasons why.
  • Think about the steps you’re taking and enjoy where you are.  This is all part of the journey and helping you get to where you want to be.  These are your lessons, your experiences and all good things will come out from the little steps you’re taking.
